The Lovers’ Ruse

The Lovers' RuseInspired by the works of Moliére, Marivaux, and Beaumarchais, The Lovers’ Ruse is an homage to the 17th and 18th century French comedies of the stage. Set in mid-18th century Italy, the plot revolves around — what else? — amore, but as a result of their amorous pursuits, the romance minded characters entangle themselves in an increasingly complicated Gordian knot of love.

Machinations and misunderstandings abound, amid wit, verve, and a break-neck pace. Who, if anyone, will win in this comedic game of love?
